Choose Your Road – A Journey of Faith & Purpose

Are you standing at a crossroads, wondering what direction to take for your future studies and career? The choices may feel overwhelming, but with faith and wisdom, the right path will unfold before you.

UESI Odisha presents “Choose Your Road”, an inspiring poster designed to help students make thoughtful, faith-driven decisions about their education and life journey.

🛤️ What Does the Poster Represent?
This beautifully crafted visual captures the moment when a student stands at a fork in the road, looking ahead at signposts pointing toward Engineering, Medicine, Education, and Business. The rising sun in the background symbolizes new beginnings, divine guidance, and hope, while birds soaring in the sky remind us that our dreams are limitless when anchored in purpose.

📖 The Message Behind the Design
The poster isn’t just a reflection of career choices—it’s a call to trust God, pursue excellence, and serve others. It draws upon biblical wisdom, reminding students that their future is not just about academic achievements but about fulfilling a deeper calling.

Instead of quoting scriptures directly, the message weaves timeless truths into practical encouragement:

🔹 Seek God’s Wisdom – Trust in Him and pray for direction.
🔹 Pursue Excellence – Approach your studies with dedication and commit your plans to God.
🔹 Study to Serve Others – Choose a career that enables you to make a meaningful impact.
🔹 Trust God with Your Future – His plans are always good and steadfast.

Each statement encourages students to step forward boldly, thoughtfully, and with faith, knowing that their decisions can shape not just their personal success, but the lives of those they serve.

✨ Why Does This Matter?
The transition from high school or college to the next phase of life can feel daunting. Many students struggle with indecision, pressure, and uncertainty. This poster serves as a beacon of clarity, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey—that wisdom, purpose, and faith will light the way.

📌 How Can You Use This Poster?
- Display it in classrooms, student centers, or church groups.
- Share it with friends and peers who might need encouragement in their academic choices.
- Use it as a conversation starter to mentor and guide young learners.
- Take a moment to reflect on your own "next step"—is it aligned with faith, courage, and purpose?

Let this poster be a reminder that choosing the right path is not just about career ambitions; it’s about walking in purpose, trusting in divine guidance, and serving others with knowledge and skill.

So, where will your road lead? Step forward, make your choice, and trust the One who leads the way. ✨🚀

Discipleship with Purpose: Following Paul, Raising Timothy, Walking with Mary, Equipping Phoebe

In a culture driven by individual achievement, there's a quietly powerful call echoing from Scripture—a call to grow, guide, and be guided. I recently came across a profound phrase in a Bible reading plan: “Pursue a Paul. Train a Timothy. Be mentored by a Mary. Prepare a Phoebe.” At first glance, it sounds poetic. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized—it’s a roadmap for spiritual growth, leadership development, and legacy in the body of Christ. 🌱 Pursue a Paul: Seek Wisdom Upstream The Apostle Paul was a mentor, theologian, and disciple-maker. To pursue a Paul is to recognize that we’re not meant to journey alone. We need a voice of experience to challenge our assumptions, inspire our faith, and speak truth into our blind spots. Mentors like Paul don’t just share knowledge—they share their lives. And pursuing one is a mark of humility and hunger. 🕯️ Train a Timothy: Invest Downstream Just as we receive, we’re called to pass it on. Paul poured his life into Timothy so ...

Celebrating Pana Sankranti: An Odia Christian Reflection on New Beginnings

As the vibrant state of Odisha ushers in the Odia New Year, known as Pana Sankranti or Maha Bishuba Sankranti, it brings with it a spirit of renewal, gratitude, and community. For Odia Christians, this day offers a unique opportunity to embrace cultural traditions while reflecting on the values of faith, hope, and love that resonate deeply with our beliefs. A Time for Renewal and Gratitude Pana Sankranti marks the transition of the Sun into Mesha Rashi (Aries) and the beginning of the Odia solar calendar. Traditionally, it is a time to celebrate the changing seasons, the onset of summer, and the promise of a fruitful harvest. As Christians, we can view this transition as a reminder of God's creation and His provision for us. The changing seasons reflect His faithfulness and the beauty of His design. The Symbolism of Pana    Central to the celebrations is the preparation and sharing of Pana , a traditional drink made from jaggery, water, curd, and fruits. This simple yet meanin...
